The Life Changes
Well as I have already stated, I got married back in 1987.  And well thought I was happy until 1998.  During the 11 years of marriage, my wife and I moved around a lot and well for many reasons, never really settled down, even with the kids.  We got our first taste of internet using AOL but when we moved back to Illinois from Versailles Missouri back in 1996, we got on the net fully using the standard ISP.  Doing the nornal things, playign games and jst surfing, my wife and I began to get into chat rooms which for the most part were fun.  Now to some of you, the things you are about to hear, they might not be for you, but for us, it was something that as a couple we wanted.  We got into the adult natured chat which at the time, kind of spiced up a few things.  Then we ran into this one site called Adult Friend Finders.  It was there we really met some interesting people.  In fact when I first signed up at that sight under the handle mmts, well I went in just hoping ot make new freinds, you know you can never have enough of them.

Well it took me a bit of time to figure it out, but the chat room was adult oriented and well deals with alternative lifestyles.  There are a lot of nice people that hang out there and I can't begin to tell the many hours I have spent there myself.  Any way, you all I am sure have heard of those internet romances that well take root and blossom?  I had and swore that I wouldn't be in one of them.  However, my wife and I met this one couple from Arkansas and began what we thought was a perfect freindship. Many hours of phone conversation and things just seemed like we were twins to some extent.  Problems arose, which I won't go into, and the freindship was dissolved.  But in the meantime, I met others and formed some really good freindships.

That is actually how I met the newest love of my life, Kathy!

At the time my handle was still mmts and hers was playnmama.  We formed a very solid freindship, the kind that when I needed that really swift kick in the backside, she was always there willing to use her foot.

Anyway, one hot Summer afternoon, my pocket pager began going off with this number I hadn't seen before.  Well seeing as I had been getting some strange pages for the last week or so, I didn't give it any thought.  I think there must have been 4 or 5 pages, but still I paid them no attention.  I got a 911 page from my wife at work and she told me that I needed to get the apartment cleaned up, she had someone there where she worked that really wanted to meet me.  I asked who it was and she told me Kathy.  Kathy who?  When she told me who it really was, well I was taken for a loop.  I mean this lady had traveled from her hometown in Western Oklahoma and was now less than 10 minutes away.  I had about two hours to get things picked up and well was waiting at the windown when they both pulled up outside the apartment.  I quickly wondered what I needed to do, go out and give her a friendly hug and kiss, or what?  Well I opened the door and both of us just smiled.  Neither of us had ever really imagined that we would meet face to face.

Well instead of the hug or kiss, I told her to come on in.  I took the night off work and we sat around sharing drinks and talking.  It seemed that there were many problems with her marriage and it got to the point where she had to leave.  In the back of my head, well, my own marriage had its problems and I knew it was a matter of time before it was finished as well.  Anyway, the hours past, my wife fell a sleep on the sofa while Kathy and I remained up, sitting on the floor, face to face, by candle light, just talking.  We hugged a few times and well it was the most wonderful feeling I could imagine.  The more we talked and shared our personal lives with each other the more it actually felt to me like, hey, this is the lady I should be with, there are so many things and thoughts we have in common, and well we are both totally nuts....I think we stayed up till almost 4 am that morning.
 

 Anyway in the next few days that followed, we got closer and closer and had told her that she was more than welcome to stay with us just as long as she wished to.  We saw a few situations together, like locking her keys in the car and things of that nature.  It seemed to me that well sometimes, she was the perfect lady for me, but heck I was married with four kids.  It only took a week I beleive of pleading with her to stay because well, we had both past way over the freindship line and had fallen in love, kind of like teenagers all over again and she kept telling me she had to leave, she wouldn't be a home wrecker.  Well the eventfull day actually occured though, she didn't bust up the marriage at all.  I think the way the day happened was I finally reached that point where I finally decided that it was her I wanted to be with, not my wife.  And it was that afternoon, first I told Kathy of course how I felt, and then my wife too.  It was an afternoon full of tears, and sometimes I feel really bad about it all, but I have this crazy idea that if I am not happy, there is no way I can make others happy.  And I really didn't realize what happiness was really till Kathy entered my life.

I love her very much.  We just saw our 6 month anniversary together back on Feb. 20, 1999.  And let me say this, these last 6 months with this lovely, very classy lady have been the best of my life.
